El Salvador Well Build

Watering the Nations funded $7,500 to a poor area with no clean water.

The project is for a total of 5 new wells - of which 4 are now completed.

Each well provides for 8-10 families, with an average of 8 people per family. In total, these wells are providing clean water for over 250 people!

On a recent trip to El Salvador {1st trip since Pakistan in March 2020} I was happy to see the 4th of 5 water wells that we are funding. This one had to go down almost 15 meters. The other 3 were at 10 meters to get good drinking water. These wells are not dug by a truck with a drilling motor, the motor is the man you see in the picture with a few different chisels, these guys work a whole week for 200.00 they can do about 3 meters per week wow it looked sketchy being lowered down by rope 40 feet! We have one more well to do to complete our commitment.

I was so happy to hear that Pastor Jorge who started Calvary Chapel El Sunzal has made arrangements for Compassion International to take over his ministry there. He has trained up some young pastors to take over the church, but the water wells and food distribution along with the medical facility will be run by Compassion Int.
